Religion vs Society

Everyone has two relations in this world. They are relation with their God and the others people. Whoever must make them be balance. In my religion, there are rules “Habluminallah” and “Habluminannas”.  It means that we must have good relation with our God and the others people. Besides we have to be religious person, we have to be social person too.

Having good life in this world, it cann’t happen if we have only good relation with our God or only to the others. Based on everything I met and I felt, I thought that the mindset of religious person and social person are so different away. I could say it because I had ever been both of them and felt it by myself.

Further when we’re willing to research about them again, we will find out what the strong differences of them else. There are so many differences from religion side n social side. For the example, when we have talking with the others actually with the other sex, when we shake our hands with him/her, when we desire have good friendship with all of them, when we must in a meeting where between male and female without gap there or someone who have lovelorn and want to get flirtation with his/her lover, etc.  

In my religion, at the Islamic rules, when we’re talking with the other person who has different sex, it will be better if we don’t look at their eyes, because we must keep our sight. Although if we appraise in social side, it’s not so good attitude and impolite. We want to be good person in religion but in the other side, it’s very strange. When we get shaking hands with other sex or rejecting her/his shaking hands, it will offend her/him. We desire to keep in religion’s rule but sometimes we don’t look from the social side of it.

When we’re in a meeting where between male and female without gap there, it can make a good togetherness but in religion’s rule, it’s prohibited. We’re prohibited to steal sight to other sex, because our sight is very significant and must be kept. The affection can appear from a first sight, loving someone sometimes can happen from a first sight, from the eyes down to heart. We must keep the purity of heart, therefore we have to keep our sight from everything which can make it’s damaged. The goodness of our behaviour based from the purity of our heart. It’s the Islamic rule. 

Besides, when there is someone who has other sex ask to make shaking hands with us, it will be better if we reject it. We may not touch their skins before we has been permitted of it, we will be permitted if we has got married with them. But in social side, if we reject someone who desire to get shaking hands with us, it’s so impolite too. It can offend him/her. As social person, we must keep his/her feeling.

The last example for overview about it.
It’s sure that everyone wants to get many friends. Everyone wants to get a good friendship with others, with all of friends they had, with whoever without looking at the gender. One of the ways which can make it happened is make a meeting without gap between male and female. Doing something together, talking about everything, and making a joke with all of them. It can build a good togetherness, but in Islamic rules, it’s forbiden because if there isn’t gap between male and female, it will make us be hard to keep sight and maybe can appear the lust there. But I think, we can be good in religion and society one if we can keep ourself and our behaviour from everything’s bad. If we want to be a good person, be a religious and humanist person, we must be wise for doing everything and always attempt to lay everything at its place.
